	Materials: 32cm circumference mari, wrapped in dark brown. Pearl cotton #5: brown, dark yellow, 2 shades of orange
Mark a Simple 4 with pins only. Mark off the quadrant boundaries with wrapped bands (maki kagari).  When the weave layer was a double or triple strand, weave 1 strand at a time. It's too difficult to keep a double strand from twisting when weaving. Double strands on the grid layer can be stitched as double strands in the needle. For a triple strand grid, thread needle with a single strand.  For one grid, lay all rows with a single strand then go back and put in the second strand and repeat for the third strand.

	Section 1 Worked with triple strands.  Use 1 each of 3 colors in all three directions. Be careful to make sure the colors were always laying in the same sequence. (For example: make sure the orange was always on the left, the burnt orange was always in the middle and brown was always on the right.)
	Section 2 Grid 1 and Grid 2: worked with triple strand of orange alternating with single strand of burnt orange. Weave: single strand of brown

	Section 3: Grid 1: double strand of orange Grid 2" double strand of burnt orange Weave: double strand of brown
	Section 4 Grid 1: double strand of orange alternating with single strand of orange Grid 2: double strand of burnt orange alternating with single strand of burnt orange Weave: double strand of brown alternating with single strand of brown
	Section 5 Note: With this one I wanted to make the weave shade from light to dark Grid 1, 2, and weave: double strand of orange for 3 rows, double strand of burnt orange for 3 rows, double strand of brown for three rows.
	Section 6 Note: Each row has three strands Grid 1 and 2: double strand of orange, single strand of brown (per row) Weave: triple strand of burnt orange.

Section 7 Grid 1: single strand of orange alternating with double strand of burnt orange Grid 1: single strand of orange alternating with double strand of brown Weave: single strand of orange (all rows)
