	Materials:  27 cm mari, wrapped in tan Pearl Cotton #5 in green and dark green Marking thread in metallic gold Prepare an 8-Combination Division

Layer 1: Locate green square ABCD in Diagram 1. Locate off-set points 1,2,3,4 which are half way between marking line and center of adjacent square center. With dark green, work one round, stitching 1,2,3,4,1. Repeat one round of motif in each of the remaining 8 pt centers

Layer 2: Locate green triangle ABC shown in Diagram 2. Locate off-set points forming triangle 1,2,3 which are just over the marking line. Using dark green, stitch one round 1,2,3,1. Repeat 1 round around all remaining  6-point centers Repeat Layers 1 and 2 with 1 more round of dark green. Repeat Layers 1 and 2 for 2 rounds of green, 1 round of gold metallic, 2 rounds of green and 2 rounds of dark green Using gold metallic, embellish centers of squares with matsuba straight stitch bundles.
