	Materials: 25 cm mari, wrapped in red Pearl Cotton #5 in medium red, dark red and overdyed/shaded red. Marking thread in metallic gold Prepare an 8-Combination Division

On Diagram 1, locate green triangle A,B,C. With medium red thread, work hexagon center of kikkou mitsubane following points 1,2,3,4,5,6,1 With overdyed red thread, work4 rounds of mitsubane, following points 1,e,5,d,3,f,1 as shown in diagram. Work 4 more rounds with dark red. Work 2 rounds with gold metallic. Repeat in 7 remaining triangles of C8 division for total of 8 motifs. Locate the 4 point intersections between the 8 kikkou mitsubane. Using metallic, embellish with matsuba kagari sprays as shown in photo.
