This temari pattern is worked around the same shapes as Spell Weaver #1
but looks very different. A little more weaving is involved, but it is
not a difficult pattern.
Wrap a 3-inch ball in a color to match the main color of the temari. Do
a complex 8 division using the main color for the marking.

Put pins along the diagonal
lines of each of the 6 large squares 1/2 way between each corner and
the center of the square. See red dots on the chart.
1: With peach, work 2 rows around each of the small squares marked by
the pins. See the yellow squares on the chart. Always work around all 6
of the squares, then work around all the triangle shapes.
2: With green work 2 rows around each of the triangle shapes outlined
in green on the chart. Work over the corners of the squares.
3: Work 2 rows peach around each square, working over the corners of
the triangles.

4: With green work 2 rows around each triangle. Work under rows 1 and
2, and over row 3 and 4 of the squares. Remember that row 1 is the row
nearest the center of the square. To work under the threads, turn the
needle and go under the threads with the eye of the needle first.
5: With peach, work 2 rows around each square, working under rows 1 and
2 and over rows 3 and 4 of the triangles.
6: With green, work 2 rows around the triangle, working over row 1 and
2, under rows3 and 4 and over rows 5 and 6.
7: With peach, work 2 rows around the squares, working over rows 1 and
2 of the triangle, under row 3 and 4 and over rows 5 and 6.
By this time you should be able to see a checkered pattern being
established. Continue to work 2 rows at a time, alternating between the
triangles and the squares. After the 8 Th row of peach around the
square, switch to light brown for 6 rows, then back to peach for 2 rows
and end in rows of green until the sides of the squares touch. The
total number of rows may vary depending on how you wrapped your mari,
but end in at least 2 rows of green. After 10 rows of the green
triangles, do 2 rows of rust, and then go back to green to finish. Work
until the corners of the triangles meet. Work a final row around each
square and triangle with metallic. This row is worked over the seams. I
added an X shape with the metallic at the center of each square.
