2. Stitch one round of pearl
cotton 910 around the inside of all the pentagons. Stitch as
close to the marking thread as possible. Remember one round
equals two rows of pearl cotton. 3. Number each of the pentagons from 1 to 12. The order in which the pentagons are numbered is unimportant; the numbers will help you be consistent as you are stitching 4. Beginning in pentagon 1, use pins to mark ½ the distance between center and each corner of the pentagon. On the remaining division lines, measure .5 cm from the side of the pentagon into the adjoining pentagons. Mark this point with a pin. Using pearl cotton 606, stitch one round from pin to pin to create a star. Remove the pins as you stitch. Repeat this process in the remaining 11 pentagons in the order which you numbered them. |

5. Use the diagram at the left to
determine the placement of the next 2 rounds of stitching. The
stitches are approximately 3 mm apart at the star tips. Divide
the metallic thread that splits the diamond shaped areas into
thirds. |
