Temari Pattern 63
Accomplished Intermediate to Advanced
This ball is worked on a standard C10 division. It does not call for the many rounds that some other patterns do - 3 to 5 on a three inch (24cm diameter) wrapped ball produces its results. Prepare a standard C10 ball.

Work a five point star (locate and stitch points 1-3-5-2-4-1) in each pentagon, working from border point to border point. Locate points A through J, spaced around three stars at a time. Stitch this round in the order shown from point A to J back to A. Work this motif around each point where three pentagons meet at that 3-way corner. When each 3 point coner has been worked around, one cycle is complete. Repeat for threeor four more cycles, depending on your preference and the starting size of the ball.
