This egg is a very simple use of the chrysanthemum stitch. Mark wrapped
egg into vertical eighths. Mark halfway between pole and obi. Begin working
the chrysanthemum close to the pole, working four lines in one color or
combination (such as the pink and white), and then work the other four
in another color or combination (such as the white). Work approximately
five rounds of both. Then, continue with only one color/combination - such
as the pink and white, for about another three or four rounds, to accomplish
the dropped points. Finish both with a metallic round.
Repeat on the opposite pole, and then embellish and work an obi of your choice. |
